Attribution of the Young Man’s Portrait Painted by Alexander Makovsky from the State Museum of History of St Petersburg
Abstract
The article is devoted to the attribution of the portrait made by Alexander Makovsky. The author proves the sitter to be Konstantin Makovsky, the youngest son of the famous genre painter and blood brother of Alexander Makovsky, a well-known architect in the future, who played a significant role in creating the architectural appearance of our city
